BIOGRAPHY

Bill Armstrong is the founder of Armstrong, Callan & Shiu, LLP, located in San Jose, California. His areas of expertise include Workers´ Compensation defense, employment counseling, Health and Safety compliance, and ERISA.

His practice is also dedicated to defending claims of employment discrimination, with special emphasis on the management of employment-based, multi-forum litigation matters.

During his career, Bill has assisted clients in high profile matters from California to Ireland.

Throughout his career, Bill has been invited as a main speaker and lecturer by numerous associations and businesses, and has written extensively on matters involving workers´ compensation, toxic chemicals, and employment law.

He is also a former member of the State Bar of California Workers´ Compensation Law Advisory Commission and a frequent presenter to the California Workers´ Compensation Defense Attorneys´ Association. In addition to the practice of law, Bill has worked extensively in assisting employer groups in the drafting, analysis, and improvement of legislation.

Since its inception in the Spring of 2000, San Jose Magazine has annually included Bill as the only workers´ compensation defense attorney in their section of the "Top Lawyers in Silicon Valley." In addition, Bill has been selected for inclusion in the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Editions of Best Lawyers in America and Corporate Counsel Best Lawyers in Workers´ Compensation in 2007, 2009 and 2010.
